Dear Gary,
Just wanted to say "Wow" (Creative Splendor is so beautiful),
and also thanks for sending the print so promptly. I wish you the very best
in your future endeavors. You have indeed a wonderful witnessing tool from
God.
With warmest regards,
Margie S - Ocala FL
Dear Gary,
Your print of "The Crucifixion" is so powerful and graphic. It
reminds me afresh and anew the power of the Blood and the awful cost for
our redemption. Your comments were more than gracious and I'm glad the Holy
Spirit touched and moved you, as He did all of us.
In His joy and victory,
Jim H, Orlando FL
Dear Mr. Lessord
I am writing to you because my husband and I have been so pleased with and
impressed by your work. We recently had our second baby girl and decided
on a Noah's Ark theme for her room. The original art and prints of animals
you did are perfect in her room. That God could give someone the talent
to capture life so beautifully is amazing to me. I have enclosed photos
we took of the pictures on the walls so you could see how we arranged them
and how your work is displayed in our home. Once again, we have been so
awed with your work. We are not art connoisseurs, but we know beauty when
we see it, and we wanted you to know how much we appreciate your artwork.
Sincerely,
Tim and Amy F - Hanover MA
Dear Mr. Lessord,
I am from Canada and with a group of many others traveled to Illinois to
visit the "Jesus 2000" art exhibition. Your painting of the profile
of Jesus on the cross, head and shoulders, is the most powerful painting
of the crucifixion that I have ever seen and experienced. The same applies
to others among our group that I have spoken with about the exhibition.
I will pray for you as you continue your God-given career as an artist who
understands Christ from lived experience.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Sister Mary A - Ontario CANADA
Dear Gary,
I want to let you know that I was really blessed by your information and
beautiful presentation at our church last Sunday night. The Lord has really
blessed you. Our Lord on the Cross (The Crucifixion) really spoke to me
that He died for our sins and will carry our burdens.
Thank you.
Love in Christ,
Donna T - Orlando FL
Gary,
Thanks for the good quick service. Art is a gift that lasts forever; my
father will be thrilled!
Sincerely,
Teri M - Winter Park FL
Dear Gary,
I've received your wonderful prints and feel duly proud and honored to know
the artist. You are truly gifted and talented. The hours of study and disciplined
drawing and painting tell by their excellence. If I feel this joy, can you
imagine -- God must be a very proud Father!
Love in Jesus,
Barb - Buzzards Bay MA
Dear Gary,
In commemoration of the approaching anniversary of the World Trade Center
Disaster, and in gratitude of your effort, the Society of Illustrators and
The Committee of the Prevailing Human Spirit Exhibition wishes to let you
know how valuable your contribution has been. The show was unprecedented
in many regards. Foremost, it had deeply touched many visitors during its
run at the Society of Illustrators in January. The firemen, the victims'
families, and other rescue personnel, in addition to many others who viewed
this exhibition, were touched and moved enough to write some of the most
compelling statements ever written into our gallery guest books. It is evidence
that the ability of the best in humanity can bear us up and help us prevail.
We thank you.
Prevailing Human Spirit Committee,
Society of Illustrators - New York NY
Hello Gary,
Let me introduce myself. I am a French painter. I live at Vernon in Normandy
near Giverny where is the Claude Monet's house. I see your web site and
I found your canvases wonderful. You have gold in your hands, your colors,
the light are coming from your heart, and I can't explain my feeling, but
it's great, my eyes are still in paradise.
Best wishes - cordialement,
Marette E - Normandy FRANCE
I seem to remember too many years back a Gary Lessord in
our high school classes who manifested even then a gentle sensitivity, the
heart and soul of an artist, and a vision of the beauty inherent in His
creation. I am joyful to see the fruits of that promise after these years,
and can offer nothing but praise and appreciation for what I see on your
web site. I found all this through a fine article in the Suburban News.
May He continue to cause your gifts to flourish to His glory.
Roland C - New York
Dear Gary,
We started to do your beautiful puzzle and we are having
so much fun. It is an awesome way of spreading the Gospel.
May God bless you and your family always.
Lyle and Lidia C - Orlando FL
Hi Gary!
You have some gorgeous artwork!!! I particularly loved the "Creative
Splendor" painting! I have to tell you your painting called "The
Crucifixion" is the best I've EVER seen!!! Most depict Him as being
only "mildly" suffering, not much blood, etc. and we KNOW that's
not true. He was beaten almost unrecognizable, so he would have looked as
you painted him! What a talent God has given you!!!
Maranatha!!!
Peggy M
Hi Gary,
Beautiful stuff!! What makes it even better, is that you are glorifying
the Lord through your talent. I work for the Air Force as an artist. I loved
the dog portraits!!! Your pencil work is also extremely well done, not too
many people have your control. May God bless you and your boldness to share
your faith with the world.
Your brother in Christ,
James G - Washington DC
Hi Gary,
Came across your web site while looking for a Christian painting for my
home. Your rendition of Christ's face is absolutely amazing. I've never
seen both love and pain in one place ... The Lord has truly gifted you my
friend ... and I'm quite sure He has major plans for you.
Thank you for sharing your soul with the rest of us,
A sister in Christ,
Jo Anna
Hi Gary,
Your site looks terrific! I especially like your horses ... I remember the
cougar from the Memorial Art Gallery days ... You inspired me to paint wildlife
way back then and I've never looked back. I still remember you taught me
how to use powdered graphite, a technique which I now teach to my students.
I'm delighted to see that you proclaim your Christianity in your art.
Stay well, and God bless you.
Julie B - Maine
Thanks Gary
The painting you've done with Christ surrounded by the ocean and dolphins
(Creative Splendor) is great.
God bless,
Joanna W - Seattle WA
Dear Gary,
The Jesus 2000 Art Exhibition has been one of my most memorable experiences.
It has truly been a multi-generational and multi-cultural success. Day-care
providers brought little children to see Jesus, grade school and high school
classes wrote papers on what they saw and experienced. College art classes
even talked about it in their newsletters, and retirement centers brought
their people to experience Jesus. Also a number of artists' organizations
came to view "Jesus 2000", and raves were heard by all.
Many returned to the exhibit a second and even third time. All totaled,
we had over 14,000 visitors, and those people were of all faiths and denominations,
truly an evangelistic experience.
Please know that the staff of the Guild Center certainly appreciate your
talent and are most grateful for your allowing us to share your artwork
with our many visitors.
Continued success in your artistic endeavors, and once again, thank you!
Blessings,
Jo K, Art Coordinator of the Guild Center - Belleville, IL
